I never wanted to create art just because it looked good on a wall. I wanted to create work that made you feel something, question something, or see something differently.

That became the foundation of WEIT PEINT.

​

My work lately blends tropes and visuals from pop culture, reimagined through the lens of the Black American experience. It serves as a mirror to society, exploring money, power, dreams, identity, and everyday life. I take familiar imagery and shift the context just enough to make you stop, look again, and question what you're actually seeing.

​

Some pieces are serious. Some are funny. Some are uncomfortable. Some may mean something completely different to you than they mean to me.

 

That's in some way the point.

But as a word of caution, anything labeled “WET PAINT” comes with a warning. You’re free to get as close as you want, touch it, question it, even challenge it.

 

Just don’t say you weren’t warned if it leaves a mark.
